Barbaros Alimert
Lead Vocalist & Guitarist
Born in Ankara, Turkey, Barbaros spent most of his musical life in his hometown, performing as a guitarist in various bands.
In 2022, he moved to Vancouver, where he now plays guitar in two different Canadian alternative rock groups (Juniper Fuse and The Singles), continues working on his solo album, and performs Turkish rock covers both as a vocalist and guitarist under the project "Barbaros and Friends."
With music available on Spotify and a released album to his name, Barbaros performs regularly at well-known Vancouver venues such as Roxy, Guilt & Co., and the Rickshaw.
Backed by more than 25 years of experience as a guitarist, Barbaros also offers private lessons to students of all levels.

Ali Cakil
Drummer
Born in Istanbul, Turkey, Ali has called Vancouver home for more than 15 years. A newer drummer, he performs with Barbaros & Friends and also works behind the camera, photographing stand-up comedy shows across the city.
Outside the arts, he’s a computer engineer and runs an IT and technology consulting company.

Baha Guler
Bassist
Born in Ordu, Turkey, Baha moved to Vancouver over ten years ago and later graduated from BCIT. A newer but dedicated bassist, he brings the low end to Barbaros & Friends, steadily developing his craft while performing with the band.
Outside of music, he works as an aircraft engineer.
